Comedy? See, comedy is hard. Especially when you're not the smartest politician on the floor. Just ask Rep. Kenny Havard. His lame joke about putting age and weight limits on a bill about strippers was met with a blistering rebuttal by Rep. Julie Stokes. She called Havard's comment disrespectful and disgusting.

"That's not the way the way we behave in this body. I don't even know what Rep. Havard was thinking. That's a dangerous thing to do politically. I think it was a bad idea.'', said Stokes, adding that the behavior wasn't out of the ordinary for women elected officials in Louisiana's congress to be subjected to. To wit, during the debate of the bill which Havard cracked wise on, it was reported other members made light of the situation by throwing dollar bills on a table next to the podium.

Rep. Nancy Landry was not one bit impressed either, calling it one of the more shocking things she's seen a legislator do. "We're here representing 40,000 people back home and half of them are women. They're mothers, daughters, sisters, and we're here representing the face of Louisiana to some extent, I just don't think it's appropriate."

Havard, for his part, is not only not sorry, he says he doesn't regret a thing. "No, it was meant as a poke that we're overregulating everything around here", he said in an interview, "It was a joke, that's why I pulled it. It was meant to say 'Hey, when are we going to stop overregulating everything?"

Rumors that a bill regulating his big stupid mouth was in the works could not be confirmed at this time.
