This weekend, robots are invading Bossier city.  No need to gather up all of your batteries as an offering to our new robot overlords though, the thinking (probably plotting) machines will be contained - this time.  The Regional Autonomous Robotics Circuit (RARC) will be rolling into the Bossier Civic Center this Saturday at 8 am.  From the time it kicks off till 3 pm, 3rd to 12th grade students from across the Ark-La-Tex will compete in events that will determine who's got the best bot in the bunch.

The event is meant to inspire children's interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) subjects by releasing their imagination with robots.  The students in attendance will also get to see how the tech they are working with is used practically in the Northwest Louisiana Crime Lab on a daily basis. The 7th annual event is sponsored by the Cyber Innovation Center, and this year the theme is Small Wonders, Big Possibilities and will focus on how robotics is used in a laboratory setting.
