Russian President Vladimir Putin has responded after Donald Trump was elected President of The United States.

Putin said that he is ready to improve relations with the United States after Trump was elected last night. If you know anything about the current relationship between the two superpowers, it's not the most stable.

While at a ceremony, the Russian leader stated that the road to recovery may be challenging, but he is now willing to begin the process.

A report out from the Kremlin says that Putin did send Trump a telegram congratulating him on the victory and that he hopes to repair the bruised relationship between the U.S. and the Soviet Union.

The Israeli Prime Minister also reportedly sent out a message to President-Elect Donald Trump congratulating him on his victory.
