The New Orleans Saints have made a long-overdue change to their uniforms and it looks amazing.

Back when Nike began designing the NFL jerseys in 2012, every team got the "toilet seat" cover. Basically, the collar didn't connect all the way around the neck, leaving an open gap near the NFL logo on the chest area.

Most teams scrapped that design by the next season. Some teams connected the color all the way around the neck while others got rid of it altogether. The Saints, for some reason, held onto the design but it seems like this year they finally got with the times and made the upgrade that Saints fans will love.

Back in April, we saw a photo (above) from Saint WR Michael Thomas indicating that the Saints may have ditched the "toilet collars," and after their media day yesterday we know that they're definitely gone for good.

I have to admit, I didn't know it would make that much of a difference but checking out the photos from media day, I'm in love with the change and I wish they would have done it before I bought my Michael Thomas jersey last season!

It was also awesome to see Adrian Peterson and our new rookies in Saints uniforms for the first time along with veterans like Drew Brees and Cameron Jordan.
