Second Annual Party in Pink Zumbathon

WHO:        

Shreveport-Bossier Zumba® instructors Jennifer Nesbitt, Stella Thompson, and Ashley Adams.                                              

Open to community members of all ages, fitness levels, shapes, and sizes. 

WHAT:      A three-hour “Party in Pink Zumbathon” charity event to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer during breast cancer awareness month. 

The suggested donation to participate is a minimum of $10 and all proceeds will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.            

WHEN:      9:00 a.m. – 12:00 (noon) p.m. this Saturday, October 15th   

WHERE:    Asbury United Methodist Church, located at 3200 Airline Drive in Bossier City.  

The fun-filled Party in Pink Zumbathon is a dance-fitness charity event that will allow community members the opportunity to donate to a good cause while exercising and participating in games and contests. Zumba fuses great music with easy-to-follow moves and routines that are fun and energizing. No prior Zumba experience is needed to take part.  

Participants are invited to wear pink and dance as long as they like, but are not expected to exercise all three hours. Individuals are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes.  

Event proceeds will support Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight to end breast cancer. Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s promise is to save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
