Senator Greg Tarver Says He’s Against HB 667

Shreveport Senator Greg Tarver is not expected to support State Representative Cedric Glover's bill to change the makeup and function of a Redevelopment Authority in Shreveport.

Under the Glover bill (HB667), the authority would be composed of 5 members with 3 of them appointed by the Mayor of Shreveport. The board would also have the power to call for tax elections.

Tarver says these changes are not needed.
