A tornado watch is in effect until 4am for much of the Arklatex. This includes Shreveport Bossier and most of Northwest Louisiana. The Parishes and Counties included in this watch are:

Union, Columbia, Hempstead, Lafayette, Miller and Nevada in Arkansas. Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, Desoto, Lincoln, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine. Union and Webster Parishes in Louisiana. Angelina, Nacogdoches, Panola, Sabine, San Augustine, and Shelby in Northeast Texas. This watch includes the communities of Arcadia, Bernice, Bossier, Bradley, Carthage, Center, Coushatta, El Dorado, Farmerville, Gibsland, Haynesville, Hemphill, Homer, Hope, Logansport, Lufkin, Magnolia, Mansfield, Many, Minden, Nacogdoches, Natchitoches, Ringgold, Ruston, Shreveport, Springhill, Stonewall, Texarkana and Zwolle.


A cold front is moving into the region and will bring a band of thunderstorms tonight and into Monday morning. The storms are already impacting the Dallas Metroplex.

A Tornado Watch is in effect until 11 p.m. for most east Texas, Oklahoma, and southern Arkansas. While we may see a few brief tornadoes, the highest threat tonight will be for thunderstorm wind gusts in excess of 60 miles per hour. Isolated hail in some storms may be up to quarter sized or larger.
