SFD Battles Early Morning Cedar Grove House Fire

On Tuesday morning, just after midnight, The Shreveport Fire Department was called to the Cedar Grove neighborhood to battle a house fire.

SFD was called to the 200 block of W. 74 Street at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday morning. Engine 9 arrived on scene at 12:39 AM and reported a single story structure with heavy flames visible at the rear of the home. Firefighters searched the home for occupants and found no one inside. It took six units, 20 firefighters, 21 minutes to bring the fire under control.

No occupant was home and there were no reported injuries. The origin and cause of this fire is under investigation.
