A reminder from Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator -- no demonstrations will be allowed in or near the Caddo Courthouse before, during or after court proceedings in Gabriel Lee's trial.

Prator says deputies will be enforcing state law, which prohibits interfering with a trial and related acts. He says no signs, buttons or t-shirts addressing the case will be allowed.

Lee was charged with animal cruelty in October 2013 after a 4-month-old puppy was found chained inside a storage unit in the 2900 block of Youree Drive. The pit bull, now known as Braveheart, was believed to have been left there for several days. He was emaciated and barely alive. He has a new owner and is doing very well today.

Lee's trial begins in Caddo District Court Monday, January 26.
