The weather for our area is changing and we could see some more nasty weather this week. Most of the rain is expected to arrive on Tuesday and we could have strong storms with us through Wednesday. The radar shows the storm system beginning to approach our region.

Our severe storm risk is at 60% for Tuesday and Wednesday. That drops to 40% for Thursday. South Louisiana is also expected to get some strong storms as this system moves in from south Texas.

The Storm Prediction Center shows the risk we are facing over the next couple of days.

What could we see with this storm system? Thunderstorms with hail, damaging wind, and possibly tornadoes will be moving through southeast Colorado and northeast New Mexico later today and into the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma. This is the same system that is headed in our direction.
