I want to thank each and every one of you who emailed me or left comments on our Facebook page with your kind words about my cat, Da'an.

And I wanted to share an email I got from the owner of Heavenly Acres... It's about an event that may be able to help others who, like me, lost a best friend...

"I own Heavenly Acres for Pets and think the community would benefit from a memorial service I'm hosting. It doesn't cost a thing.

What: Remembering National Pet Memorial Day with a Memorial Service

When: Sunday, September 11, 2011 6pm

Where: Heavenly Acres for Pets, 4030 Hwy. 154, Elm Grove, LA 71051 470-8327

Why: To help the community of Shreveport/Bossier deal with the loss of a beloved pet and to strengthen each other with our support.

There are members of the community that can benefit from this Memorial Service.
Father Kenneth Paul will be officiating the service.
