Shreveport Mayor Ollie Tyler is busy trying to put together her team to run the city,Mayor Tyler says she has selected Brian Crawford to serve as Chief Administrative Officer. Crawford left Shreveport in 2012 to take over as Fire Chief in Plano, Tx, but he's decided to return home. He's expected to return to Government Plaza on January 27th.Mayor Tyler has submitted Crawford's name to the council for confirmation. She tells KEEL News "Crawford is a man of integrity and honesty. He's also very forward thinking. We look forward to having him back in Shreveport." 

Another top priority for the new Mayor is to name a fire chief to replace Craig Mulford who was fired back in September by former mayor Cedric Glover. More than 30 people have applied for the job, most from within the Department.

I asked Tyler if former Chief Kelvin Cochran (recently fired in Atlanta) had been one of the candidates she is considering and she replied: "No, I am not considering him as a candidate."
