A dog swept away in the rushing waters of the Red River near Dixie Inn has been rescued by Shreveport Firefighters. The pooch was clinging to a pylon under the Texas Street Bridge. The pup will now be reunited with its owner.  Members of the Shreveport Fire Department Dive Team entered dangerous waters and scooped up the dog known as “Rough”, and transported him to Central Fire station for Some TLC.  Rough’s owner Rudy Howell was contacted and he's very relieved. He told fire personnel, “I searched for Rough for a couple of days but there was no sign of him anywhere.  Thank you so much!”
