Maintenance beginning this evening at the T.L. Amiss Water Purification Plant will likely result in lower system pressure throughout the City.

This routine work is ordinarily done with no impact to customers, but the current weather conditions and high demand on the system is expected to produce lower water pressures. Plant personnel will seek to minimize the inconvenience and the work should take no more than 5 to 7 days to complete.

The maintenance work will have no adverse affect on water quality.

The continued high demand on the system has the City urging residents and businesses to conserve water whenever possible, as long as the current drought continues.

If significant problems with pressure are experienced, please contact the Water & Sewer Department’s Field Operations office at 673-7600.
