Shreveport Police report they're currently on the hunt for a suspected bank robber on Shreveport's west side this morning. Officers from the Shreveport Police Department are receiving assistance from the Louisiana State Police.

Officers describe the suspect as a white male, mid-40s, this a "scruffy" beard, who was wearing a green or tan shirt, and blue jeans.

The suspect reportedly robbed the Regions bank at 6800 Pines Road in Shreveport at approximately 10AM today. Police are investigating this as an armed robbery, however police say they're not sure what kind of gun was used in the robbery at this time.

Details on how much money was taken, if any at all, aren't available at this time. It's also not clear if anyone was injured during the robbery.

Police have been searching the area around the Jefferson Paige exit of I-220 for over an hour. KSLA reports that police engaged in a foot chase with the suspect. Investigators are now using K9 units in a "manhunt" situation to locate the suspect.
