There are currently over 20 Shreveport Police units on the scene of an officer involved shooting. According to online records, the officers are on Hollywood Ave, near Kennedy Drive.

NBC 6, KTAL, reports that the suspect who was shot by police, has died at the scene.

The incident happened just over 24 hours since the City of Shreveport hosted a "law enforcement summit" with various local agencies. The summit took place in downtown Shreveport, hosted by Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins and Substitute Shreveport Police Chief Ben Raymond. The event was attended by representatives from the US Attorney's Office, the Shreveport City Marshall, representatives from Barksdale Air Force Base, the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, and other law enforcement agencies.
