Shreveport Police seeking escaped suspect

Shreveport Police officers are actively seeking the whereabouts of a suspect who escaped from the back of a patrol car in west Shreveport.

Here are details released by SPD:

Just after 8:00 p.m. on January 18, 2015, Shreveport Police officers were dispatched to the Pine Hill Mobile Home and RV Park in the 6700 block of Jefferson Paige Road in reference to a domestic violence call. Upon arrival, officers learned 28 year old Crescencio Cortez Quezada , was arrested for domestic abuse battery. Quezada was handcuffed and escorted to a Shreveport Police Patrol car, where he was placed in the backseat. While the officer gathered information inside the home, Quezada allegedly busted out the back rear passenager window of the patrol car and fled the scene.

Patrol along with K-9 units searched for Quezada, but were unable to locate him. Quezada is a Hispanic male, standing approximately six feet two inches tall, weighing 190 pounds and was last seen wearing a green shirt and green/black pants.Along with the domestic abuse battery charge, Quezada is now facing charges on escape and one count of criminal property damage. As search efforts continue, authorities are urging anyone who may spot or come into contact with Quezada to contact authorities immediately. The Shreveport- Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers are offering a $500.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of Quezada.
