Shreveporter Brings House Down On Dancing With The Stars

I am definitely hooked on Dancing With The Stars and I was mesmerized by JR Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff on the show last night.  They danced to Tim McGraw’s “If You’re Reading This” and dedicated it to all the soldiers who have died.  Martinez is himself  a war hero and was severely injured in Iraq when he drove over a landmine.  You might not realize this, but JR was born in Shreveport in 1983 and lived here until he was 9.  He then moved to Hope, Arkansas with his Mom and lived there until he was 17.   His Rumba on the show moved me to tears and I was not along.   For me, JR is now the frontrunner on the show.

Check out the performance.
