Shreveporter Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Aggravated Rape

A Shreveport man pleads guilty to a reduced charge of attempted aggravated rape in Caddo District Court.

60-year-old Kenneth Ray Hampton will serve 25 years in prison without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.  He's to be formally sentenced on October 11th.

Hampton was arrested in March of 2015 after the 9-year-old victim told her mother that Hampton had performed sexual acts on her. The child’s mother confronted Hampton and called police.  Hampton confessed to the crimes.
