Shreveport is shining bright in the NFL.

Former LSU star, and Shreveport native, Tre'Davious White has been named the top rookie in the 2017 class by Pro Football Focus.

It's actually not a big surprise, White was a first round pick, heading to a team that was a perfect match for his talents. He was able to flash brilliance, while maintaining a high standard of play. He also helped get his Buffalo Bills team to the playoffs for the first time since 1999.

White wasn't the only player with Louisiana ties to make their rookie list, in fact, multiple Saints made the Top 5.

Here's more from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"According to Pro Football Focus, former LSU cornerback Tre'Davious White was the NFL’s best performing rookie during 2017. The Saints had three players finish in the top 5. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore finished second, running back Alvin Kamara came in fourth, behind Kansas City running back Kareem Hunt and Saints offensive tackle Ryan Raymczyk finished fifth."
