Sign Up Your Kids for These Fun Activities in Shreveport and Bossier
As the kids get back in the swing of school, here’s some information about extra curricular activities your children might be interested in checking out.
It’s time to register for the fall season. Games are played at Shreveport Little League which is at Preston Street and the Clyde Fant Parkway. The season starts September 8th and lasts for five weeks.
You can also register your girls for softball at the same site.
The season runs from September 10th- October 29th.
This program is described as a “Laid Back”, teaching environment to give players an extra edge for the next season.
Recreational soccer for youngsters between the ages of 4 and 18. Cabosa also has a competitive soccer program with paid coaches. The season begins September 20th
Fall 2013 Lacrosse registration will begin September 10th. The season will begin in the middle of October. The program is available for players 3rd grade to High School. The fee is $100 and it includes a jersey.
The YMCA offers several sports in the fall for youngsters.
Registration for the 2013 Shreveport Dixie Fall Ball will be August 1-15, 2013. Each team will play 8 games and the games will be played on Sunday afternoons. The tentative start date for the Fall Season will be Sunday September 8th and should end by October 27th.
Registration is going on now for fall ball. Your child does not have to already have a team. He or she will be placed on a team from your school or neighborhood.

Another activity your youngster might want to take part in is the Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts. It will soon be time to register for these programs too.
Your children will get information about scouting at school and some of the organizational meetings might even be held at the schools.
