‘Son of God’ Premieres This Weekend In Shreveport – Bossier

Hollywood insiders are calling 2014 'The Year of the Bible' in movies, with as many as five major religious themed releases due out before this fall.

Premiering in March is 'Noah', starring Russell Crowe. Others on the way include 'Exodus', 'Mary, Mother of Christ' and the Mark Burnett produced 'Son of God', opening this weekend.

Reality TV pioneer Burnett and his wife, actress Roma Downey have taken footage from their History Channel series “The Bible” and partnered with 20th Century Fox to create 'Son of God', a film about the life of Jesus, with Portugese actor Diogo Morgado in the title role.
