Tom Holland, the actor who will play spunky teenage Spider-Man in Marvel's forthcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming, revealed that more movies about the web-slinging superhero are on the way.

"I do know I have three Spider-Man movies and three solo movies [like a cameo in Avengers] contracted," the star, who first appeared as the character in Captain America: Civil War, told The Hollywood Reporter.

Holland also spoke about his casting process for Homecoming, sharing that he submitted a unique audition tape in which he very casually showed off his gymnastic skills.

"I was a gymnast when I was a kid, so I did a back flip, just to show Marvel that I could do that sort of stuff," he said. "I was like, 'Hi, I'm Tom Holland.' Back flip. 'I'm from London.' Side flip. 'I'm five-foot-seven.' Front flip. I had a lot of fun making those tapes."

The actor also revealed that he learned he got the part while "scrolling through Instagram," telling The Hollywood Reporter, "Marvel just posted a photo saying go to our website and find out who the next Spider-Man is. I went on the Marvel website on my computer and there it was: The new Spider-Man is Tom Holland. I went ballistic, like absolutely nuts."

As for whether Holland consulted with the two actors who previously brought Peter Parker to life onscreen, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, the actor admitted he hasn't spoken with them directly, but has watched their films over the years and pulled some inspiration from their respective performances.

"I actually haven't been in contact with them," he dished. "But it's so lucky because I've got five movies that I can draw from. I watched every single one years before I even got cast in this movie. And then we watched them all again and just picked little things that I thought was great and that I'd like to keep."

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7, 2017.
