Registration is underway for the summer session of the Caddo Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigations Camp for 11 and 12 year olds

The class will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 14-16 at Sheriff's Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.

Participants will learn how to detect clues and apply CSI techniques at a mock crime scene. Campers will be collecting evidence, taking crime scene photographs, making shoe impressions, and learning to lift and analyze fingerprints.

At the end of the camp, they will be asked to analyze the clues collected and use the information to solve a crime. Junior CSIs will present their case to a judge at the Caddo Parish Courthouse.

The class is free and open to Caddo Parish residents. Seating is limited to the first 20 participants, and pre-registration by telephone is required. Campers must provide their own lunch. To register, contact Angie Wilson at Sheriff's Safety Town at (318) 698-7233.
