If you've ever heard me talk about roller coasters, you know that I am a first class coaster junkie. I love the thrill of those rides, and the bigger, and taller, and faster they are they more I want to ride!

There's a newer type of coaster popping up all over the world modeled after ones in the Alps, called (appropriately) Alpine Coasters. They are usually one seat cars that you ride down a mountain. Some have tracks, and the cars usually have a hand break. And that's pretty much it.

Here's a video of a trackless coaster in Switzerland. It rides down a metal half pipe like a luge, and you cannot beat the scenery.
