Justin Timberlake pretty much co-hosted last night's (Dec. 21) episode of 'SNL' with Jimmy Fallon, since he appeared in the 'Wrappingville' cold open, impersonated J. Fal in the 'Celebrity Family Feud' skit and reprised his role as the now-late Robin Gibb in 'The Barry Gibb Talk Show' sketch, which were the first three sketches. But he also offered two distinctly different presentations as musical guest.
During the 'Celebrity Family Feud' skit of 'SNL' last night (Dec. 21), which featured CBS network stars versus NBC network faves, Jimmy Fallon played Jim Parsons from 'Big Bang Theory.' Musical guest Justin Timberlake, in turn, played Fallon to manic perfection.
Since 2003, the "Barry Gibb Talk Show" sketches on 'SNL' have popped up whenever Justin Timberlake or Jimmy Fallon have appeared on the show, with Fallon playing Bee Gees lead singer Bary Gibb and Timberlake taking on his brother, Robin Gibb. The last time we saw these characters was in 2011 and its return seemed unlikely following the death of Robin Gibb in 2012. However, the sketch made its big return last night and it brought a handful of surprise cameos along for the ride.
Few guest performers seem to get 'SNL' quite like Justin Timberlake, who has a wonderful habit of showing up on the stage and creating classic sketches and characters with seemingly no effort. In most cases, he would easily overshadow the actual guest host, but when that guest host is show alum (and current late night superstar) Jimmy Fallon, there is less overshadowing and more comedic awesomeness.
The adorbs Josh Hutcherson aka Peeta from 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' followed up his hilarious turn as 'SNL' host -- you gotta watch the '80s skit -- with a visit to 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.'
It was his debut as a Fallon couch guest and he revealed some interesting information about his relationship with his 'THG' co-star Jennifer Lawrence and his former obsession with Justin Timberlake.
Justin Timberlake is one of those rare child stars who avoided trouble and went on to become an even bigger adult star. But he's certainly not smug about his success -- in fact, when he was asked about Miley Cyrus' latest exploits, he was positively diplomatic.
Justin Timberlake has been fully immersed in music for the past year, but he hasn't shed his love of acting while reclaiming his pop music throne. The president of pop, as christened by Jimmy Fallon, still wants to do films, and one role he'd love to play?
Questlove spilled the beans about Justin Timberlake's 'The 20/20 Experience' having two volumes, with the second arriving in November. Now we've got more details about the material that the sequel to his smash will feature.
While most would agree that this past weekend's 'SNL' host Kevin Hart did an admirable job picking up where 'Django Unchained' star Christoph Waltz left off, this weekend 'SNL' really pulls out the big guns tapping five-time guest Justin Timberlake as both host and musical guest. Expectations are sure to run high for the hour, so how does an old pro like JT fair in the promos for this weekend? Get a sneak peek of Justin Timberlake without his "Suit & Tie" inside!
Continuing the Timberlake saturation, it's been announced that he will host and perform on 'Saturday Night Live' on March 9, and will perform for a full week (March 11-15) on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.'
