I don't think anyone has missed the fact that our area was slammed when it came to the recent flood waters and all we can say is thank goodness for all of the fine folks who have dug deep and either gave money or time to help their friends and neighbors.

Oklahoma has been devastated by a massive tornado and lots of local folks want to know what they can do to help.

Three people were killed and more than 100 injured on Monday afternoon when two explosions went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Rescue organizations have gathered to help and at the the tragic scene, but how can you help? The Huffington Post has put together a helpful list of ways:

On Tuesday, October 25th, the American Red Cross will conduct a Health Fair at Broadmoor Baptist Church (4110 Youree Drive in Shreveport) from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm.  The Red Cross will have the traditional Health Fair tests available.
