I'm Irish, but even I didn't know the history of pinching folks for not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day. So I did a little checking and it has to do with leprechauns.

With the Jameson Irish Whiskey Patty in the Plaza party presented by Bud Light coming up this Thursday from 5-10pm in Festival Plaza this Thursday night, we decided to do a little digging into the holiday known for green beer and pinching!

Grab your sheleighleigh, your favorite green outfit and come party with us for Patty in the Plaza - a St. Patrick's Day party you don't want to miss! In fact, there might even be a leprechaun on site!!

We, as Americans, are proud of our tradition of beer making. This country has had a long-standing love affair with our "big brands" like Budweiser, Miller, and Coors. The Irish are proud of their tradition of beer drinking. And finally..the two come together.

The LSU Health Shreveport student organization Geaux Bald hosts its 3rd annual Head Shaving Day today, March 17, from 2-6PM in the Biomedical Research Institute (BRI) Atrium.
