Pool season is almost here, so you might want to rethink that swim suit...at least if you plan to visit a pool in Bournemouth, England. The UK Sun reports that a dad was kicked out of a pool, because the lifeguard was not keen on his swimwear. No, the dad wasn't rocking a Speedo, or a thong -- just an extra-long pair of swimming trunks.

Roy Lester, a lifeguard in Long Island, says he was fired... Not for being out of shape or for falling asleep on the job... But for refusing to wear a Speedo! He's been a long-time lifeguard at Jones Beach. And, when going through the endurance tests this year, he decided to wear something a little more, uh,  appropriate for his age.

Northwestern State University’s Demon Aquatic Club will offer an after-school developmental swim program and competitive practices. Classes will be from 3-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday at Nesom Natatorium September through May. The cost includes a $60 registration fee that covers insurance and a monthly fee of $50 per swimmer.

The big shots around here asked me to come up with a list of my favorite places to take the kids swimming.  Thankfully, I don't have to take them anymore, but here are the places they love to go.
