IWSN...GNOC...PIR...POS...CU46...Those combinations of letters and numbers mean something very specific and unless you're in the know you have no idea what they mean. As a parent you probably know what LOL means but do you have any idea what the previous group of letters mean?

Who recalls the time when most people would gripe about their teenagers always wanting to sleep? Now, in today's age, we've learned that something is way more important than crashing for a nap.

Although it became a widely used form of communication only recently, texting is actually a decades-old technology. In fact, it celebrated its 20th birthday on Monday, which makes it older than most of the kids who use it. OMG!

According to a survey of 2,227 adults by the Pew Research Center, the average text message user sends or receives an average of 41.5 messages a day. How much someone texts is not surprisingly tied to how old they are. Those in the 18-to-29 age group send or receive an average of 87.7 texts a day, whereas that total is only 4.7 for those in the 65-and-over group.

I swear, people will use their cell phones anywhere these days! Talking, updating Facebook,  and texting are getting out of hand. In the theatre, in line at the credit union, in church, and at their own wedding!

In a clear case of monkey-see-monkey-do, this ape seems desperate to fire off a text message from an iPhone.
