REMINDER!!! Tax Day is exactly ONE week from today!

Monday, April 18, is THE day. That means you have a few extra days this year to get your money to Uncle Sam.

In case you missed it, in 2005, April 16 was dedicated as Emancipation Day to celebrate the District of Columbia Compensated Emancipation Act’s signature into law on April 16, 1862 according to amarillo.com. In layman's terms, it's a holiday for government workers in Washington, D.C. - also known as the IRS headquarters.

So, lucky for us, we now have a few extra days to get those pesky papers into the government while they enjoy their day off.
