Teenage Science Experiment Causes Explosion
A teenager in Florida gets kicked out of her school for what some say was a "science project gone bad". It resulted in a small explosion at her school. WTSP reports that 16-year-old Kiera Wilmot of Bartow, Fla., is accused of mixing household chemicals in a small water bottle that resulted in the explosion. The principal tells the TV station Wilmot is "a good kid" and has "never been in trouble before. Ever." The young girl has been arrested and charged with the possession and discharge of a weapon on school grounds and the discharging of a destructive device.
