Teenaged Girl Wounded in Shooting at Bilberry Park

A Shreveport teen is recovering from a gunshot wound following a dispute that led to gunfire this evening at a city park.

Just before 5:30PM, patrol officers were called to the 3000 block of Lakeshore Drive to a report of a shooting there. They found a teenaged girl suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to University Health for treatment. Her wound wasn't considered to be life-threatening.

Detectives say the girl was at Bilberry Park, when at least two feuding men armed with handguns began shooting at each other. The teen was caught in the crossfire. Police are searching for suspects.
