Ternium USA, Inc., will conduct a job fair for the company's Shreveport coil-coating facility in the coming days.

It will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, at the Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering on the Bossier Parish Community College campus.

According to a news release, the job fair will consist of presentations, q-and-a sessions and information about Ternium's job openings and hiring process. Sessions will begin each hour and last about 45 minutes. Anyone who wants to be considered will be asked to fill out a job-interest questionnaire after the presentation.

The company is looking to fill the following positions: CPL operator, supply chain analyst, maintenance supervisor, supply chain supervisor, and paint and MCL supervisor. The Shreveport facility is hiring operators and supervisors to support an additional shift.

Here's more about the jobs from the news release:

In 2007, Ternium purchased all holdings from Grupo IMSA and kept one holding in the United States, the Steelscape facility at the Port of Shreveport-Bossier, which consists of a metal coating line, paint line, and slitter.

Hourly candidates who are invited for an interview must be willing to participate in a 1-day, 8-hour pre-employment assessment process. Applicants will be required to pass a drug screening and background check.

Applicants may apply by submitting a resume to jobs@ternium.com. Applicants also should attend the job fair to enhance their ability to gain employment.
