The Strand Theatre’s 2015-2016 Season of shows has just been announced and the lineup is fantastic!  The season of 9 Strand presented shows includes:
 
Hotel California, A Salute to The Eagles
Saturday, August 14, 2015 8:00 p.m.
This band, comprising five multi-talented musicians, presents a dynamic exciting show saluting the music of The Eagles, a supergroup whose music has incredible staying power.  This concert presents an exciting showcase of mega-hits such as “Take it Easy,” “Heartache Tonight,” “Hotel California,” and “Love will Keep Us Alive.”
Ricky Nelson Remembered                                                            
Friday, September 25, 2015, 8:00 p.m.
He is the only artist to have a No. 1 song, No. 1 movie, and No. 1 TV show in the same week. Life Magazine coined the phrase “teen idol” after him.  Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ricky Nelson’s life and music touched millions, and now his twin sons, Matthew and Gunnar, relive the music and memories in their multi-media event. The show features hit songs like “Travelin’ Man” and “Hello, Mary Lou.”  Relive the legacy of 53 hit singles with his sons in this very special concert.

With its definitive blend of rock, rhythm & blues, jazz, country, and gospel, MARSHALL TUCKER BAND earned seven gold and three platinum albums and scored four hit singles on Billboard's country chart and one on Billboard's gospel chart.  Doug Gray continues to lead the current band with hit singles like "Heard It In a Love Song," "Fire On The Mountain," "Can't You See," “Desert Skies,” and "Take The Highway.”

With 17 Gold records, 29 chart hits, two Grammy Awards, and more than 30 million records, Johnny Rivers continues to perform his big hits like “Secret Agent Man,” “Memphis,” “Maybelline,” “Mountain of Love,” “Midnight Special,” “Seventh Son” and so many beloved others.   Rivers grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and met Shreveport guitar legend James Burton in 1958 on the Louisiana Hayride. By 1966, with numerous hit albums and singles on Imperial Records, Rivers founded Soul City Records and Rivers Music Publishing.

This live concert show combines the comedy and hits from the original movie and pays homage to Chicago’s rich history of blues, gospel, and soul music.  Hear all of The Blues Brothers classics such as “Soul Man,” “Rubber Biscuit,” “Sweet Home Chicago,” “Rawhide,” and “Gimme Some Lovin’.” Upbeat and uplifting, THE OFFICIAL BLUES BROTHERS REVUE is fun for all ages.
