The Philadelphia Center’s 27th Annual Auction Against AIDS Saturday, July 16 [VIDEO]

The Philadelphia Center is holding it's much anticipated 27th Annual Auction Against AIDS Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Sam's Town Casino in Shreveport. The theme for this year's soiree is Fashion, Music, Art and will feature local performer Chi Chi DeVayne who appeared on season 8 of RuPaul's Drag Race, a silent auction, fashion show, raffles and more!

Each year, this event gets bigger and better than ever. The auction items are always amazing and available at a wide range of prices. The food makes the foodie in me growl in anticipation and the drinks are always plentiful! Wear your best couture and make Sam's Town your personal runway so you can strut your stuff in front of Shreveport's finest all for a great cause! Tickets start at just $50 and the auction starts at 6pm.

The Philadelphia Center developed in the spring of 1990 as concerned citizens responding to the HIV/AIDS epidemic as it spread into the Shreveport area of Louisiana.  Over the past 20 years, The Philadelphia has expanded to become the only HIV/AIDS resource center in Region VII. The Philadelphia Center serves the parishes of Caddo, Bossier, Webster, Claiborne, Bienville, Red River, DeSoto, Sabine and Natchitoches.

I don't have to tell you that with our current state budget crisis in Louisiana, funding for non-profits is in jeopardy and private donations and fundraisers like this are the life blood of organizations like the Philadelphia Center. If there's any question in your mind how much our area needs the services of the fine folks at the Philly Center, I hope you'll watch this video.
