The Strand Theatre to Announce 31st Season Line-up

A special reception is set for next month to announce The Strand Theatre's 31st Anniversary Season line-up of shows.

According to a Strand news release, teasers of video and music from the shows and concerts will be featured at the event, which is free and open to the public. It's scheduled for Tuesday, May 12, on The Strand's stage.

The historic Shreveport theater will celebrate its 90th birthday this July. It re-opened in December 1984 after seven years of restoration. It's been nationally-recognized by USA Weekend and AMC Magazine as one of the top five glitziest theatres for live performance anywhere in the country.

Tickets will begin to go on sale to the general public June 8. They'll be sold immediately to Friends of The Strand at the $50+ level. Discounted tickets are offered to Friends at the $250+ level.
