There’s nothing like a little poop to prevent you from being pooped.

Kopi Luwak coffee, from Sumatra, is the most expensive joe on Earth, with a price tag that runs around $90 a cup and $1,000 per pound.

Oh, and did we mention, it’s made from animal waste?

That’s right – it's packed with beans removed from the waste of the paradoxurus, a “mammal that looks like a cross between a cat and a mongoose.” How'd you like to be the guy who gets that plum assignment?

Considering the hefty price tag, it's no surprise that Kopi Luwak has gotten loads of love for its flavor and, ahem, rich aroma and right now you can get it for an almost (but not really) reasonable price. Twelve grams are going for $28, but if that doesn't fix your fix, you can upgrade to 80 grams for $128 or 150 grams for $192.

Of course, when you cough up this kind of money for coffee, there is a downside. The caffeine will keep you up nights, so you can roll around in bed trying to figure out how you’ll pay your bills since you wasted so much money on coffee, which, ironically, put you in this pickle in the first place.

Drink up!
