This week we learned that Toys R Us is making a comeback, however the company will look very different this time around. The lenders who own the company are planning a comeback starting this November under the name ‘Geoffrey’s Toy Box’ which will be a wholesale toy pop-up inside “a prominent Midwest retailer.” It's not clear as of yet which retailer this is.

The announcement came this week during the Dallas Toy Show where Geoffrey, the iconic mascot of Toys R Us, was walking around wearing a cape that said "Back From Vacation". The ultimate plan, according to USA Today, is for the brands Toys R Us and Babies R Us to make a comeback later on down the road.

It's still not clear what any of this means for us locally, so for now, we can only hope that the pop-up stores will appear nearby.
