And the winner of $50,000 is...'True Heroes'!

The lives of the makers of 'True Heroes'were changed on Sunday, as the winners of the 2014 Louisiana Film Prize were announced. Capping off a weekend of screenings and voting, Director Chris Ganucheau and co-writer, Jake Meaux had a lot to be happy about!

"Lovable," "Based on Rosenthal," "Snip" and "A Bird's Nest" rounded out the top 5 short films. Each will receive distribution on iTunes and Amazon, and guaranteed screening at major short film festivals around the country.

There was also a new prize awarded this year for the best actor and actress. The Alyce Award went to Chelsea Bryan for her lead role in "Angel of Joy." The Bradley Award went to James Palmer of "Snip."

Congratulations to all of the Louisiana Film Prize winners and we look forward to the 4th Annual Louisiana Film Prize in 2015!
