Two men are behind bars for breaking into a home while the residents were asleep inside.

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator says at around 11:15 last night, his office reveived a 911 call from a woman in the 9300 block of Lowry Road. She said she and her husband were asleep in the living room, when they awoke after hearing someone inside their home.

The husband got his shotgun and chased one suspect as he fled out the kitchen door. Outside, the husband found a second suspect, armed with a handgun, hiding behind a tree. As the man was ordering that suspect to the ground, he was attacked from behind by the first suspect, who took the victim's shotgun.

Both suspects fled in a dark blue vehicle, which was spotted by a deputy minutes later on Blanchard Latex Road. Sgt. James Moore pulled the car over and took the driver and his passenger into custody. Both suspects were identified as the men who broke into the Lowry Road home. The victim's shotgun was recovered from the car.

Detectives say 27-year-old Christopher Bell and 21-year-old Donte Demunguia, both of Shreveport, are both charged with aggravated burglary. Bell also faces a charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
