Shreveport Police are investigating a shooting that left one man shot and another suffering from shrapnel injuries in a late night shooting.

Shortly after 11pm Thursday night, police were called to University Health where two men were being treated for their wounds. Officers learned 23-year-old Ka’Vante Bryant and 27-year-old Bryan James were taken to the hospital by private car. James had been shot in the arm and back. Bryant had a minor forehead injury likely cause by glass shrapnel.

The victims told police they were on St Vincent Avenue near West 80th Street when someone began shooting at them. They then drove to the Circle K at 70th and Linwood Avenue to get help.

An unknown man drove the victims to the hospital. Police did get at least two reports of shots fired in that neighborhood during the same time frame.
