Shreveport police have charged two suspects believed to be responsible for a shooting in the Hollywood neighborhood that claimed the life of a local woman and left two other females wounded.

Investigators say the females were shot by a suspect who had an accomplice with him at the time. Authorities were able to secure additional information and evidence linking 29-year-old Sherman Elbert Fredieu to the shooting and 24-year-old Scarlett Groce as his accomplice.

Fredieu was arrested by authorities at his place of employment at Barksdale Air Force Base. He was taken to the Bossier City Jail and booked as a fugitive, then transported to Shreveport Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed by detectives. Afterward, he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on an arrest warrant for second degree murder and two counts of attempted second degree murder.

Groce was located at Cordova Apartments in the 900 block of West Gate in Bossier. She volunteered to go to Shreveport Police Headquarters to be interviewed by investigators. She was later transported to the Shreveport City Jail, where she was charged with one count of principal to second degree murder.

The shooting in the 700 block of Central Street left 36-year-old Verdina Crichlow dead and 43-year-old Tammy Harris, along with a 15-year-old female, wounded.
