It is no secret that its hot. We are pretty used to the high temperatures of summer, but the rest of the United States is also feeling the heat after setting high temps for the past six months.

According to a government report from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration or NOAA for short, the past six months have been the hottest in the US since records started being kept in 1895.

And the high temperatures haven't been just in the past six months. The report also shows that from July 2011 until June 2012 the lower forty-eight states excluding Washington have experienced warmer than average temperatures.

Shreveport experience it's warmest spring just this year. On average the temperature for us during the spring is around 65. This past spring we experienced temperatures on average of 71.1. This smashed the previous record of 69.2 set back in 1878 and 1882.

Its not just the high temperatures that have been plaguing the US. The same report indicates that 56 percent of the US has also been under drought conditions.

So, does this report prove global warming? I'm not saying yes or no. I'm sayitng it's just too hot to think that hard about something. I'm going to grab an Icee.
