VFW Honors Shreveport Fire Captain John Davis

Shreveport Fire Department Captain John Davis was recognized this morning by the Veterans of Foreign Wars as the 2014 Outstanding Local and State Firefighter of the Year.

VFW Post 2238 Commander James Maziarz said Captain Davis' career accomplishments of rescuing citizens and firefighters, 29 years of service to the City of Shreveport and eight years of service as a U.S. Air Force Reservise made him a perfect candidate for this award.
