High school football is not done yet! An East Texas high school football team has one final game to play! Their season began way back in August with early morning practices in the Texas heat. They've played just about every Friday night since the school year began and playing in this game is what a lot of players have dreamed about all year long and for some, since they've began playing the sport. Playing for the state championship title!

The East Texas team looking to bring home that championship trophy from class 3A Division II will be the Waskom Wildcats. The Wildcats will be up against the Newton Eagles from deep East Texas Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. The Wildcats are 14 and 1 on the season edging out Newton whose record is 12 and 3. Those are some great records but it all comes down to one game!

We wish the Waskom Wildcats the best during this most important game of the season and probably of their lives! Bring home that state championship title!
