With four more films planned in the new Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them franchise, we’re starting to suspect that the wizarding world of 1920s New York is more directly connected to the Harry Potter series than previously thought. Need more proof? This helpful lesson in magical history from the insanely charming Ezra Miller should do the trick.

Entertainment Weekly debuted a new video featuring Miller, who plays the eccentric and perhaps misunderstood Credence in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. According to his co-stars, Miller was the film’s preeminent authority on Harry Potter and the world of J.K. Rowling, and he was kind enough to share some of his wisdom in a 60-second recap of a very important part of magical history: How the great wizard and Hogwart’s headmaster Albus Dumbledore came to possess the Elder wand.

As the self-described Potter nerd explains, Dumbledore won the wand after his duel with “the most dangerous wizard prior to Voldemort.” Devoted fans should know the answer. “If you don’t know this,” Miller says, “I’m upset with you.” The answer is Gellert Grindelwald, a nefarious wizard whose reign of magical terror began in Europe in…the 1920s. Perhaps not coincidentally, Fantastic Beasts takes place in New York in 1926. Hmm, indeed.

You probably also noticed that the Deathly Hallows symbol appeared on one of the recent character posters for the film, featuring Colin Farrell’s villainous Percy Graves. The Deathly Hallows is comprised of three parts: The Cloak of Invisibility, the Resurrection Stone, and the Elder Wand. We already know that a young Dumbledore makes a brief appearance in Fantastic Beasts, but Miller’s history lesson suggests that maybe — just maybe — the beloved wizard will figure much more prominently into the next four films.

Just some magical things to think about before Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18. In the meantime, can we please get Ezra Miller to make a whole series of 60-second Harry Potter history lessons?
