It is hard to believe that in the year 2012 cosmetic companies are still conducting animal testing. Lush, a cosmetics company based in the UK, is campaigning for the British government to ban the testing of cosmetic products on animals.  I first became familiar with Lush when I visited London and found a Lush store in the Heathrow Airport. I really enjoyed their products and was thrilled that they were hand made with fresh products and never tested on animals.

Lush is petitioning the world to ban animal testing and is getting some serious attention with a performance art piece that was performed in the Lush Regent Street store in London. Performance artist Jacqueline Traide is "experimented" on similarly to all laboratory animals. This video is definitely not for the faint of heart. Many of the images might be disturbing to some.
