Week 6 Of High School Football…Erin’s Picks

I can not believe it, but the high school season is in week 6 and there are some great games this week.
Believe it or not, but week 6 of High School Football is here. Many teams move into district play this week and several are still undefeated.

A couple of Thursday night games are on tap this week. Southwood takes on Parkway at Independence Stadium. This should be no contest. Parkway will win by at least 14. Green Oaks takes on Red River at Northwood. I’m taking Green Oaks in this one.

The big game this week has Byrd hosting Haughton at Lee Hedges Friday night. It’s homecoming for Byrd and the first district game. Both teams are undefeated and this will be quite a battle.

North Webster hosts Calvary . The Cavs will have no trouble winning this game. Northwood is at home to take on Woodlawn. The Falcons are coming off 2 straight losses. I think this will be a win for Northwood. Evangel takes on BTW. The Eagles should be an easy winner in this contest.

Natchitoches Central comes to town to take on North Desoto. I don’t think the Griffins can hang with the Chiefs in this contest.

Fair Park travels to Minden. Minden wins this one. Shreve opens District play against Airline at the Vikings Stadium.

Shreve is 3-2 on the year after getting a close win over Woodlawn last week. Airline is coming off a lopsided loss to Neville last week. I’ll take Airline to rebound in this one.

Bossier is at home to play Block. Bossier is 4-1 and should move to 5-1 after this game. Loyola is in Lake Charles to battle Sam Houston. Loyola is coming off 3 straight losses while Sam Houston was pounded by Carencro last week. I think the Flyers will get a big road win. Benton comes to Independence Stadium to play Huntington. Benton shut out Southwood last week and should have little trouble with Huntington.
