Whistleblower Files Suit Against Caddo Parish

A former worker at the Caddo Animal Shelter has filed suit against Caddo Parish, Administrator, Dr. Woody Wilson and Animal Services Director Travis Clark. Collin Sly claims he was fired after he went to Dr. Wilson 3 times to report cases of wrongdoing at the local shelter.

Local Attorney Dan Keele tells KEEL News his client had previously been praised by Dr. Wilson for his bravery in speaking up about problems at the shelter. But Sly was ultimately terminated for waving a red flag about time keeping and payroll and humane treatment of the animals in the shelter.

KEEL News has reached out to Dr. Wilson for comment and so far, have not gotten a response.

There is no court date yet for a hearing on this lawsuit.

Travis Clark just took over operations at the local shelter on May 21st. He announced plans to clean things up and be more responsive to the public. Clark is not commenting on the lawsuit.
